Helping young people find direction toward further education and employment.

STEP Programme

Based in the Cork Region, STEP aims to help young people aged between 17-25 reach their full potential and suits those:

  • who have left school or college early
  • who are unemployed
  • who require space and support to re-evaluate their future
  • referred by an agency for a specific  educational or personal need
 

Young people are offered:

  • Level 4 QQI certification
  • Group and individual support
  • Extra learning tutorials
  • Personal development
  • Project work and activities
  • Preparation for further education or work
  • Outreach and aftercare
     

Referrals

You can make a self referral directly to the YMCA Cork City and Cob. Referrals are also taken from Parents / Guardians, Intro, GP, Probation Services, Social Workers, Schools, Youth Service, Support Workers and Counsellors.

Applications

Application are taken throughout the year. Please get in touch to request or make an application.
