It’s been a big month for the YMCA YI staff as the West Cork YI project successfully completed a peer review, at advanced level, for the ERYICA Irish Commission.
It’s been a great year for the Youth Vocation and Training department across the Cork Region.
Young people from YMCAs in the Cork region & Newcastle alongside Dublin-based Sphere17 regional youth service took part in an NYCI-led Galway Marine Residential on 19th-21st July.
This past month a group of young climate activists from Londonderry YMCA met at Greenhill to discuss recommending the adoption of the NYCI Climate Charter.
Empowering young people to be active global citizens and contribute towards building a world of justice, equity and dignity.
It’s always an exciting time across the YMCA movement as the school term finishes and we look forward to making some incredible summer memories!

YMCA’s World General Secretary, Carlos Sanvee, welcomed the new strategic plan for YMCA Ireland that will be based on four values of welcome, opportunity, wellbeing and peace and justice, at a series of events across Ireland with the message that the ‘world needs the YMCA more than ever’.
